Thonburi Day trip

On September 1, 2013, international students at the Faculty of Science and Thai students from the Department of Chemistry joined in a day trip to study Thai arts, architecture, and culture of different religions.

Thonburi, the city on the other side of Chao Phraya River opposite to Bangkok, was a capital of Thailand for 15 years during the transition from Ayutthaya to present-day Bangkok. Communities in Thonburi are less westernized than Bangkok and could be a good experience for international students as well as Thai students to study about Thai traditional culture. During the trip, a long-tail speed boat was the main transportation.

Klong Bang Laung, the main route for this trip.
