Indian and Pakistani Food Stall

With the support from the Center for International Cooperation Promotion and the Student Affairs of the Faculty of Science, international students and their Thai colleagues managed to set up food stall and exhibition presenting their cultures. The unique national costumes from Bhutan, Indonesia, and Pakistan were beautiful. Moreover, the food prepared by international students was so different and interesting that many Thai students were attracted to taste them all. From Bhutan, Bhutanese tea was the perfect combination of salty and buttery, as well as, the delicate KHAB-ZEYs were too lovely to be eaten. For Indian and Pakistani, spicy Chicken Briyani and sweet and creamy Gulab Jamun were some dishes that everyone should not have missed.

For this activity, international students have chances to interact among themselves and with their Thai colleagues. It is also an opportunity for them to present the beauty of the cultures. Moreover, during Loy Kratong festival, international students can learn some of Thai cultures from the performances on the stage by undergraduate students.

For Thai students and participants, this activity was a good chance for them to learn and realize multicultural environment in the faculty. This event could promote science students to get ready for multicultural and international society they are facing in a near future.
